Schwarzwaldalp – Wart – Faulhorn

The challenging one
Hiking time: approx. 6h

The hike from the Schwarzwaldalp over the Wart (Schwarzhorn) is a beautiful but challenging route. Thanks to its unique landscape, we like to call the Schwarzwaldalp «Little Canada». With a bit of luck, you might even spot a deer. According to gamekeepers, the region is home to around 400 deer.

The trail, or rather the path, leads from the Schwarzwaldalp up to the Wart (Schwarzhorn), from there through the lonely Hiendertellti past the two mystical lakes Häxenseewli and Hagelseewli and on to the Faulhorn.for those coming from the Schynige Platte, this route also offers an interesting alternative to the classic Bachalpsee - First route.

The hike is not recommended in fog or heavy snow, as orientation can be difficult.
